Fee Structure:
The Club Executive Committee has done a thorough review of the Club’s finances to arrive at the current season's fee structure. Currently the cost of running the Club is borne by membership fees. Each year a lot of work is done from the committee to manage the funds and work the budget to balance each season. We do not budget for a surplus as we aim to keep the members' costs as low as practical.
-
WP Aus & WP NSW Capitation Fees** - Visible & paid directly to WP Aus & WP NSW as part of the registration process. These fees provide insurance cover and support by the Water Polo bodies to the sport in general. They are paid annually in advance and are included in the Summer registration fee only.
-
WP NSW other fees* - The biggest cost, not seen & paid indirectly to WP NSW that is paid for by the Ryde club fees that includes WP NSW Team Entry fees, WP NSW Game Day Pool Hire, WP NSW Game Day Referee charges, WP NSW Affiliation Fee, & WP NSW Association Liability Insurance.
-
Pool Hire - The second biggest cost is pool and lane hire. Whilst the Club is extremely lucky to have access to Ryde Aquatic Centre the increase in fees this season is a direct result of the increase in pool hire expenditure including the use of Macquarie University Aquatic Centre and reserved lap lanes for swimming.
-
Equipment - Replacing caps, stringers, balls, medicine balls, ball bins, and timing equipment.
-
GST - Ryde Water Polo Club is registered for GST.
- Merchant Fee-instead of the individual member paying the merchant fee, this year the merchant fee is included in the overall total balance.
